Optical Bonding

Optical bonding is the process of attaching a touch screen and/or cover glass to an LCD panel, while at the same time filling the gap between them with an optically transparent material that eliminates internal reflections, thus improving durability, brightness and contrast.

Yunlea offers bonding services using a choice of three automated processes:

OCA, or dry bonding, with optically clear adhesive
Air Gap, using double-sided tape

OCA is a simpler, faster and more cost-effective process, still offering good durability and readability. OCA is available for displays from 1.33” to 65.0” diagonal.

Air Gap is the least expensive, best for indoor applications where impact and shock are less of an issue.
